Racism and Inequality by Local Police
<h1>Racism and inequality is on the rise by local law enforcement officers in relation to people of color. I had heard the horror stories concerning this issue, but it wasn't until 02/04/2017 that it became real to me. On 02/04/2017 a shooting occurred on Applegate St. in Milton FL.<h1> One man was left dead and 2 others injured. Based on witness statements, a prior altercation, and supporting evidence it was very clear that this was a retaliation shooting.  However, because the person who had allegedly committed the crime was a white woman who had connections with law enforcement, evidence such as statements from people on the scene who had identified her, a high-speed chase by police, an earlier altercation with one of the victims started to be erased, and a new story, told by the alleged killer began to form. The once retaliation shooting had now become a drive by gang related situation. The white woman and alleged killer had now transitioned into 3 black men with priors.

Saturday Night I Discovered My Son Was Wanted By Police & Named Armed & Dangerous
On Saturday night, 02/04/2017, a shooting occurred on Applegate St, in Milton FL. The shooting left 1 man, Thomas Buckhalter, dead, and 2 victims wounded. One victim was severely injured as she was shot 5 times. I had no idea that the shooting had occurred until Saturday night when my son notified me that he had been tagged in a picture revealing that he was wanted as a suspect in the shootings. The caption on the picture conveyed that he was armed and dangerous. In reality, he wasn't armed and dangerous, because we had just finished watching the super bowl while eating chicken. He began to freak out and get upset because he had priors and didn't think he would get a fair shot concerning trying to get some answers as to why his mugshot was all over the internet. <h2>However, we told him that he had to go down to the Santa Rosa County Jail, and turn himself in so that we could get answers.<h2> When we arrived, no questions were answered; I don't recall any rights being read, and no help was given as to why Dedric was being arrested. Within a few hours,  his face was being flashed across the news, charged with the homicide and so forth. After all of this happened, the games began. They restricted his visitation; they would tell us a time for court then change it, and they would do all kinds of things to confuse and restrict my rights as a mother to visit my son. I was even given conflicting information which led me to miss his first appearance. Therefore, I had no understanding as to what was actually going on.

No Answers From Law Enforcement
I began to see very quickly that I wasn't going to get any answers from local law enforcement, so I started investigating myself. I discovered that Ashley, one of the victims, who was shot 5 times, had survived. Sources say that she had been in an altercation with Melissa Pocopanni before the shooting. Apparently, sometime before the shooting, Melissa drove up to the scene where Ashley was walking with her love interest, "Quindarius DeRamus," and Melissa became upset. Witnesses say that Melissa told Ashley that she shouldn't be walking with "DeRamus," because he was her ex-boyfriend. Sources say that Ashley told Melissa that she needed to leave. Ashley had conveyed to Melissa that she was upset, because her cousin had just passed away, and she wasn't in the mood for no drama. According to witnesses, Melisa told Ashley that she didn't care about her cousin, and Ashley got really mad and beat Melisa up. Sources say that Thomas Buckhalter had recorded the fight and other bystanders were laughing at Melisa. They also reveal that Melisa jumped in her own car, and said that she would be back to kill them.

In my belief, on Saturday night 02/04/2017, Melisa made good on that promise. Witnesses say that it was her car that circled the block 2 times. DeRamus testifies that shots rang out from the passenger side window of Melisa's car, the second time, it circled around. It is my understanding that questions lay in investigators mind as to who could have shot the victims from the passenger side window?? ( I now have tons of theories about who may have been in that car, but I cannot release that information because they are simply theories. However, none of this beef had anything to do with my son Dedric Davis & 2 alibis confirm that)

In Melissa's original, now redacted, statement, she conveys that Dedric Davis and Kyhem Johnson Facebook messaged her and asked if they could use her car. I'm not sure if that's true, but I do know they are always trying to get rides to the store. However, Melisa claims that she drove to a house on Woodward Lane and picked up Kyhem Johnson, Dedric Davis, Walter Ford, and RJ Green.

Disclaimer:  Melisa Is Considered Innocent, Until Proven Guilty By Local Law Enforcement Officers Here In Milton FL. or a court of law. Unfortunately, My Son Never Got That Right.  . . He Was Arrested On Melisa's Word That He Was Guilty. You can read her claim below. This statement was removed from the arrest report; thankfully I had a copy. Yet, her face was never on the news, and people outside of the community had written the incident off as a drive by shooting.

Melisa claims that she drove them to the Tom Thumb Store at 5085 Glover Lane and pulled up to pump 2 while Kyhem Johnson went in to pay for gas. It is assumed that Dedric Davis stayed in the car because he was on crutches. There's no mention of what Walter Ford and RJ Green was doing during the alleged visit to the store. .perhaps, it's assumed, that they stayed in the car. Melissa told police that RJ Green had asked her to take him back home, so she drove him back to the house on Woodward Lane.

Melissa then states that she was asked by Kyhem Johnson if she would drive away from Woodward lane. She conveys, at this point and time, she'd observed that  Dedric Davis, Walter Ford, and Kyhem Johnson were in possession of a handgun. Melissa conveys that "she believed" that they were going to rob someone of drugs or money or that they were going to scare someone. In her statement, Melissa claims that Dedric Davis said, "we are going to hit a lick." Melissa conveys that she believed it was slang for "we are going to commit a robbery." In Melissa redacted statement, she conveys that she agreed to let them use her car because she was going to get a cut of the money.

Melissa conveys that Kyhem Johnson was driving; Dedric Davis was in the front passenger seat; (she) Melissa was in the rear passenger seat on the driver's side, and Ford was in the rear passenger seat on the passenger side. She proceeds to tell police that Dedric Davis had said, "someone had said some hurtful things to him." At this point in time, Melissa claims, that Kyhem Johnson had pulled the car around to the side of a home on Peachtree and Applegate St. She says that Dedric Davis said, "Oh there they go," while looking at a group of people in the backyard. Melissa then stated that Kyhem Johnson pulled the car around again, and Dedric Davis said, "Let's light them up." Melissa claims that both Dedric Davis and Walter Ford pulled their hoodies up and rolled down their windows. Melissa claims that she witnessed both Dedric Davis and Walter Ford shooting.

Quick question... .what was Melissa Pocopanni doing during this time? Was she just passively sitting in the car? This truly sounds like a movie that she may have watched.

Also, on the audio testimony, she reveals that she got high right before the incident and had a towel over her face the whole time. . . Really?? I thought you saw Ford & Davis shooting?? This is the stupidy I've been dealing with and they want me to take this seriously as justice for my son being jailed for her crime.

Melissa claims that Kyhem Johnson then drove the car to a house on Lee St. She conveys that Kyhem Johnson instructed her to drive home and delete her messages on Facebook. Melissa claims that Johnson, Ford, and Davis all exited the vehicle and went into the house on Lee Street. Melissa stated that Kyhem Johnson, Walter Ford, and Dedric Davis entered the Lee Street Home at aprox 11:00 p.m.

This insanely bogus arrest report goes on to convey that a woman named Sylvia Berry was interviewed and stated that Johnson came to her house at 5571 Stewart Street (Intersection of Lee Street and Stewart Street) at approximately 2300 hours. They convey that Sylvia Berry said that Kyhem Johnson said, "sorry granny."  Police say that Berry stated that two males were with Kyhem Johnson and that one had crutches.  Supposedly, Kyhem Johnson told the 2 boys that they had to leave and they did.

Quick Note....I have since learned from Sylvia Berry's Family that Ms. Berry has Alzheimer's and was not accurate at all at the time that she could've seen the boys if at all that day.

I'm guessing Dedric Davis hoped away on crutches. .Click Here To View The Condition Of His Leg at the time of these allegations

Apparently, the victim who was shot 5 times, didn't feel as if her story was being respected by the police, because it clearly named Melissa Pocopanni, so she posted it on Facebook. You can read that statement below.

Yet, local law enforcement know if they arrest anyone who was really involved in the crime, they are not going to go down without taking Melissa with them. This publicity would ruin the reputation of her parents Nila and Robert Chambers and place a white girl in jail for the crime. The reality is all boys charged with the crime had priors. She had probably given one or more of them a ride to the store for beer and cigarettes at some point prior to the shooting. They all had violent rap music out, and they were just the perfect people to pin this crime on. It's was easy to turn a retaliation shooting into a drive by shooting, because, most, people are used to seeing "like" crimes on the news.

At this time no charges have been brought against Mellisa Pocopanni, and the accused boys are being held on her word solely. The very person witnesses say committed the crime. The very person who had a prior altercation with one of the victims, threatened to kill one of the victims, whose car was on the scene, who allegedly took police on a high-speed chase, whose parents allegedly turned her in because their guns were missing has not been mentioned, more than a brief second, as a suspect. Her face has not been flashed across the news. Thousands of dollars have been spent on legal fees, food packs, and phone calls just because she spits out a few names in an attempt to cover her own alleged crime. I pray daily for real justice and for my son to be released because he did not do this....I don't feel it's fair for him to take her place in prison, if the multiple allegations against her are true, for something that had absolutely nothing to do with him.

I'm shocked that so many people can put this girl on the scene but not 1 of them put my son on the scene, yet, he is in jail and she is not. She can clearly admit, even in a fabricated story, that she was there and had agreed to commit a crime which she was allegedly seen committing, yet, my son who said, before he was arrested,"I'm coming up here to see why my name on the news about a shooting I know nothing about;" has 2 alibis, and wasn't named at all by witnesses is in jail?? How is this justice?

Since the shooting the town has been in an uproar wanting real justice; you can read just a fraction of the comments below. . .

Witness say this is the girl they saw on the scene and it was her car. However, let's remember that she is innocent until proven guilty.

Update:
since the release of this post-Mellisa was arrested but now is out on bond with no information of her in the system. The idea was to arrest her on a lesser charge of accessory to a robbery and give the public a false sense of justice. Only to reduce her bond and release her with no trace that she was ever in the system.
However, let me remind you that there never was a robbery. Ask yourself have you ever heard of a drive-by robbery with a cripple guy as the primary robber? Were they supposed to drive up to a bomb fire where there were multiple people who could do some major harm to someone who couldn't fight back at the time?  Yet this cripple guy should hop over on crutches and hold them up for money or drugs? Really? Again no robbery was every committed or intended. This was a premeditated shooting by a white girl looking for revenge because she got dumped and replaced. A blind man can see all the events leading up to the shooting along with testimony after testimony that she had said: "She was going to kill Ashely."
It was her car, state-issued weapons of someone like her father who was security or police: a nine-millimeter semi-automatic and a 38 standard, the same guns we have to qualify on each year as law enforcement. "A high-speed chase that's missing, guns that are missing, and the whole truth that's being covered up.
Not only did "the robbery never happen" but the only two people truly affected was Thomas Buckhalter who was standing next to Pocopannie's ex-boyfriend and Ashley Williams the new girlfriend. Those boys would have nothing to gain from shooting them. It's strange how "an intended robbery" could end up nearly killing both Pocopannie's ex-boyfriend and his new girlfriend and the high-speed chase by police that landed her car in a tree which has been erased because it reveals who was actually in that car.
Not to mention the shooter had the aim of someone who'd been on the gun range a time or two to shoot that accurately in the middle of the night. A random drive-by "robbery" would've created a lot more victims. (I hope you caught the drive robbery sarcasm).
When a police department can take a premeditated murder and attempted murder by a white girl and turn it into a "drive-by robbery" by 3 black guys; we have a serious problem.
