Tyrese Gibson [Child Abuse Allegations] Subsidies And He Is Reunited With His Daughter
There are tons of articles circulating the web about Tyrese Gibson's custody battle issues with his ex-wife Norma Gibson. These issues have made it difficult to co-parent their 10-year old daughter Shayla. The latest claim of child abuse from Norma Gibson sent Tyrese Gibson into a social media frenzy that's got fans and haters alike questioning his sanity.
In early September 2017, Norma Gibson reported that Shayla had been physically abused by her dad Tyrese Gibson. Norma claimed that he had struck the child between 12-16 times making it hard for Shayla to sit down. In addition to a full investigation by Children And Family Services, Norma petitioned the courts for full custody of their daughter Shayla and a restraining order prohibiting Tyrese Gibson from being closer than 100 feet of their daughter.
Shortly after Norma's petition was temporarily granted by the courts, Tyrese Gibson posted this video via social media platform.
Sadly, many people found the video troubling and Tyrese Gibson found himself being ridiculed and taunted instead of embraced and supported. Tons of people cut out the primary message and posted the hysterical cry for help. Norma Gibson utilized the video to support her claim that Tyrese Gibson is mentally unstable and dangerous. She told the courts that she had been both verbally and physically abused by the actor in the past and that he'd been diagnosed by doctors as bipolar and a manic-depressant. She went on to say that she couldn't prove his medical condition because she couldn't get access to documentation.
Outside of Norma's claims, no other evidence had been found to solidify her allegations. Clearly, if the child had been physically abused, bruises would be evident. Also, Tyrese Gibson appears to be an excellent father who wouldn't harm his daughter. After a long drawn out investigation with no evidence supporting the abuse claim, many began to wonder if Norma Gibson was upset about Tyrese Gibson's new marriage to Samantha Lee Gibson and their upcoming baby boy.
After a full investigation of Norma's allegations charges were dropped against Tyrese, but his problems were far from over. His emotional outburst in social media made him the laughing stock of many comedians. It also gave many people who disagreed with his political views leverage to lash out in anger towards the actor.
Also, many darker skinned women who felt his marriage to Samantha was a slap in their face used this hurtful scenario as an opportunity to make cruel comments about his marital union. Other critics ridiculed him for launching a clothing line in his daughter's honor.
Here's where I flip the script and voice my personal view on the matter. . .
This has been an unfortunate situation that Tyrese Gibson can turn into greatness if he chooses to. Yes, the abuse claims may be false and funds may be low because of the legal battles he has had to fight. Yet, sometimes God allows us to walk through things that clearly defines who we are and who we are not. Fire is meant to purify and cleanse us from those things that easily beset us. This situation has shed light on who his friends are and who they are not.
It has revealed that it's time for a major shifting in his mindset and his life. It's time for him to take a step back and dig inward and reevaluate what's important to him. If his belief in God, his relationship with his wife, co-parenting his daughter, and fathering his unborn son is the center of his world then it's time to reposition himself and adjust his brand accordingly.
Backlash in social media reveals that Tyrese Gibson should get the message that "Most people in social media " aren't real friends. Many of them silently hope that he will fail, they secretly gossip about his hardships and laugh at his pain. So why should he cast pearls among swines? If Gibson is going to use social media as a tool to share general messages, he shouldn't depend heavily on the opinions and support of social media friends and fans.
His statement that "no one will hire me" is a signal that it's time to let go of the old and embrace the new. Tyrese Gibson could invest his time and energy into his family, and find more meaningful ways to display his work. He could reach out to independent filmmakers like Tyler Perry. As a talented writer, he could also write and sell scripts. He could extend his daughters clothing line to a more universal look using a Shayla logo instead of Shyla's full name on the clothing. The example ad below reflects a universally unique look that a logo could be applied to. Imagine cute shoes like that with a Shayla logo.
If necessary he could sell some assets, downsize and rebuild his entire life in a way that embraces his entire family and embodies his value system. He could vlog about the process and grab advertising dollars from his vlog.
I think it's important that he includes Samantha in the entire process so that he can rebuild his fan base from primary women to a family experience. He just isn't the ladies man anymore because he is a married man. He should let the fans that can't handle that shift go because true fans will always be there. Also, new fans will come that reflect and embrace his new life.
Finally, a new album about life and transition, failures and successes isn't a bad idea either. Because there are other people out there that could gain strength from how he overcame his struggles and used them as a springboard for massive success.
Now that Tyrese Gibson has his daughter back in his life, I believe that he will find a way to turn what appears to be a damaged career into something golden.
